
Beth Ann Yakes

Dr. Beth Ann Yakes is a General Internist and proud Chapman College Mentor. Originally from the Sunshine State, Dr. Yakes completed her undergraduate degree at Stetson University followed by medical school at the University of Florida (Go Gators!). After finishing residency and a chief resident year at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, she moved to Music City in 2005 and has loved being part of the Vanderbilt community. She currently serves as a College Mentor, Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program, and practices as a primary care physician in the Vanderbilt Internal Medicine group. Dr. Yakes is proud to provide faculty support for the Student Wellness Committee and the Shade Tree Trot and enjoys teaching students and residents. Dr. Yakes spends as much of her free time as possible with her one-year old son, Leyton, who she adores! She also spends weekends helping out her husband, Dave, at a B&B that they own together as well as volunteering with Hope Clinic for Women and Luke 9:2 Ministries.
