Before coming to Vanderbilt as a medical student in 2005, I lived most of my life in New England. I had never been to Nashville prior to my VUSM interview, but was immediately set on coming here after my experience that day. While I was a student at VUSM, I was involved in the early years of Wellness, the Colleges, and the Shade Tree Trot. I graduated VUSM in 2009, and then went to residency at Brown for plastic surgery. Before returning to the faculty in 2016, I completed a fellowship in hand surgery at Johns Hopkins. Outside of work, my happy places are running, skiing and practicing yoga. I also love teaching and operating; so I hope you'll come find me in the OR or the clinic any time you want to learn about hand surgery!
