Geoffrey Fleming, MD
Pediatric Critical Care
Mr-Dr. Fleming is an associate professor of Pediatrics in the division of critical care medicine. He is from Virginia, went to the University of Florida for college where he played rugby, then back to UVa for medical school. He met his wife Amy in medical school and they went to San Antonio for residency training. After completing residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio, he practiced as a pediatric hospitalist for 4 years, one in San Antonio and 3 in Colorado Springs. After leaving Colorado, they moved to Ann Arbor for his Critical Care Fellowship. In 2007 the Flemings joined the faculty at Vanderbilt. Dr Fleming has been affiliated with Gabbe College since its inception in 2007, and now as an official FAA since 2009. Dr Fleming is active in education across VUMC with roles in the UME, GME and CME worlds.
