Michael Baker, MD

Internal Medicine, Cardiology

I am a Nashville native who went to the University of Tennessee for undergraduate and Medical Degrees. I came to Vandy for my Cardiology fellowship training and then went into practice here in town for about ten years, returning to Vanderbilt in 2008. My wife Wendy is a retired pediatrician who now is in the real estate business (want to buy a house?) I have two daughters: Hannah just graduated from Skidmore College and is currently enrolled in the Conservatory program at Second City in Chicago, and Emily is a freshman at Emory. My area of practice is primarily general cardiology and cardiac imaging. Outside of work I enjoy working out, gardening and playing golf, spending time with my Golden Retriever, Olive, and dominating the Cardiology Fellow and Faculty Fantasy Football League.
