Immersion Phase Elective Counseling is a joint effort between Medical Student Affairs, Careers in Medicine, the Immersion Phase Team, College Mentors, and the Faculty Specialty Advisors designed to support students in planning and managing their Immersion Phase schedules to ensure timely achievement of graduation requirements and preparation for post-graduation plans.

Traditional path
Introduction to Immersion Phase (with elective counseling by faculty Specialty Advisors)
Session Objectives
- Describe the overarching goals and course types in the Immersion Phase
- Discuss Immersion Phase curricular requirements
- Discuss Research, Learning Communities, and Foundations of Healthcare Delivery requirements
- Discuss graduation requirements
- Discuss registration timeline and provide counseling on elective choices by faculty Specialty Advisors
- Provide support for students to design their Immersion Phase schedule
Date: Late Winter of M2 Year
Format: Large group session with question and answer session, and individual small group sessions with faculty Specialty Advisors
Integrated Science Course (ISC) Fair
Session Objectives
- Discuss graduation requirements
- Provide an overview of each ISC by faculty course directors
- Answer student questions regarding ISC selection and scheduling
- Provide counseling on elective choices

Format: Large group session with question and answer session

- Provide an overview of the Immersion Phase and Requirements
- Provide counseling on elective choices

Acting Internship Information Session
Session Objectives:
- Describe the goals and objectives of the acting internship
- Describe the process for scheduling AIs
- Provide an overview of each AI
- Answer student questions regarding AI selection and scheduling
