Immersion Phase Elective Counseling is a joint effort between Medical Student Affairs, Careers in Medicine, the Immersion Phase Team, College Mentors, and the Faculty Specialty Advisors designed to support students in planning and managing their Immersion Phase schedules to ensure timely achievement of graduation requirements and preparation for post-graduation plans.

Introduction to Immersion Phase
Session Objectives
- Describe the overarching goals and course types in the Immersion Phase
- Discuss Immersion Phase curricular requirements
- Discuss Research, Learning Communities, and Foundations of Healthcare Delivery requirements
- Discuss registration timeline and provide counseling on elective choices
Date: Late Winter of M2 Year
Format: Large group session with question and answer session
Planning Your Phase Workshop
Session Objectives
- Discuss graduation requirements
- Provide counseling on elective choices by faculty Specialty Advisors
- Provide support for students to design their Immersion Phase schedule
Date: Early Spring M2 Year
Format: Individual small group sessions with faculty Specialty Advisors
Integrated Science Course Fair (during the Planning Your Phase Workshop)
Session Objectives
- Discuss graduation requirements
- Provide an overview of each Integrated Science Course (ISC) by faculty ISC course directors
- Answer student questions regarding ISC selection and scheduling
- Provide counseling on elective choices
Date: Early Spring M2 Year
Format: Large group session with question and answer session

- Provide an overview of the Immersion Phase and Requirements
- Provide counseling on elective choices
Date: Early Fall M3 Year
Format: Large group session with question and answer session
Acting Internship Fair
Session Objectives:
- Describe the goals and objectives of the acting internship
- Describe the process for scheduling AIs
- Provide an overview of each AI by faculty AI course directors
- Answer student questions regarding AI selection and scheduling
