“I was a little anxious moving to the South for medical school because I worried that it would lack diversity, but luckily I was wrong. People are moving here in droves precisely because this city welcomes and celebrates diversity. I’m constantly finding new things to do, whether it be a new restaurant, shows to up-and-coming artists, or going for a hike. My first year at VUSM has been one of the best years of my life.”
