Dear Vanderbilt University Medical Alumni,

Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Reunion 2016

Many thanks to all of you who attended our Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (VUSM) Reunion 2016. With over 1,000 attendees, this was one of our largest VUSM Reunion events. I hope you enjoyed your time back on Vanderbilt’s campus. A special thanks to all of our class chairs and class gift chairs for making this Reunion a truly wonderful event. The Reunion also featured meetings for the Vanderbilt Christie Pediatric Society, the Lonnie S. Burnett Society (Obstetrics and Gynecology), the Thomas E. Brittingham Society (Medicine), and the Master of Public Health program. Please refer to the Faces and Places section of this issue, as well as the online edition for photographs from various Reunion festivities. (Due to our biennial VUSM reunion celebration schedule, our next VUSM Reunion will be celebrated in the fall of 2018.)

VMAA Events and Dinners

VMAA hosted a dinner held in conjunction with the Association of American Medical Colleges annual meeting in Seattle on Nov. 13, 2016. Bonnie Miller, M.D., Senior Associate Dean for Health Sciences Education, Vanderbilt University, and Executive Vice President for Educational Affairs, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, hosted this event at Aqua with Anne-Marie Amies Oelschlager, M.D., ‘97 (former VMAA board member). We enjoyed our 2017 VMAA regional dinner in New York on Feb. 17, and look forward to those in Dallas (March 8) and Columbia, South Carolina.
