Cellular, Biochemical and Molecular Sciences Training Program

The Cellular, Biochemical, and Molecular Sciences (CBMS) Training Program at Vanderbilt University provides a unique educational and training experience for a diverse group of graduate students spread across multiple departments and disciplines in the School of Medicine and the College of Arts and Science.  The mission and objective is to train graduate students in critical thinking, experimental, and communication skills necessary for productive careers in modern biomedical sciences.  Laboratory training and cutting edge research remain the core of the program, complemented by structured didactic training in each discipline, as well as ongoing mentoring, training in Responsible Conduct in Research, exposure to health/disease related research, reproducibility training, career counseling, and communication skills.
