The Vanderbilt University Medical Physics Certificate Program was accredited by CAMPEP in 2026.
Applications are currently not being accepted. We are exploring accepting applications in academic year 2026-2027.

Admissions Requirements
- Applicants must be a Vanderbilt University (VU) or Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) postdoc/employee in order to apply.
- This is envisioned to be a Vanderbilt certificate program only. This certificate program is currently not open to any applicants outside of the Vanderbilt community.
- Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in physics or a related discipline.
Curriculum
The certificate program curriculum plans to cover 6 Medical Physics core courses:
- RAMT 5304: Radiation Interactions and Dosimetry
- RAMT 5310: Introduction to Clinical Applications and Radiation Protection
- RAMD 5331: Physics of Medical Imaging
- RAMT 5248: Radiation Biophysics
- RAMT 5201: Anatomy and Physiology for Medical Physicists
- RAMT 5311: Clinical Therapy Physics I
