The Vanderbilt University Medical Physics Certificate Program was recently accredited by CAMPEP beginning Summer 2026.
We are currently exploring accepting applications in academic year 2026-2027. This website will be updated with information as it is formally approved by the School of Medicine.
Admissions Requirements
This is envisioned to be a Vanderbilt certificate program only. Applicants must be a Vanderbilt University (VU) or Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) employee in order to apply.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in physics or a related discipline.
Curriculum
The certificate program curriculum plans to cover 6 Medical Physics core courses:
- RAMT 5304: Radiation Interactions and Dosimetry
- RAMT 5310: Introduction to Clinical Applications and Radiation Protection
- RAMD 5331: Physics of Medical Imaging
- RAMT 5248: Radiation Biophysics
- RAMT 5201: Anatomy and Physiology for Medical Physicists
- RAMT 5311: Clinical Therapy Physics I
