Welcome to Vanderbilt Medical Physics
If you’re looking for first-rate training for a clinical and leadership career in medical physics, you’ve come to the right place.
At Vanderbilt, we offer two pathways for an advanced degree in medical physics:
- the Master of Science in Medical Physics (MSMP)
Available for both diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy tracks.
- the Doctorate in Medical Physics (DMP)
Available for the diagnostic imaging track.
When you join us at Vanderbilt, you’re joining a close-knit community of students and faculty dedicated to personalized clinical training, top-of-the-line medical care.
Here’s what sets our medical physics program apart:
Dive into hands-on clinical experience from Day 1.
Our clinic-centered curriculum for both therapy and imaging tracks lets you jump right into faculty observation, clinical practicum, and in-clinic learning at our state-of-the-art academic medical center.
Join a close-knit cohort.
With a handful of MSMP and DMP candidates at any given time, your coursework and clinical rotations happen in an environment with lots of opportunities for one-on-one mentoring.
