The ASPIRE Path in Molecular Medicine

My research interests include investigating the role of polyamines in H. pylori-induced inflammation and cancer. Specifically, I plan to determine the role of a post-translational modification of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A (EIF5A) termed hypusination in epithelial cells and its part in the pathogenesis of H. pylori-induced carcinogenesis using human-derived gastric organoids and mouse models.
