- Theodore Liston, PhD’85, co-discovered in April 2025 an adenosine agonist called AST-004 to treat concussion. Phase II trials are scheduled to start later this year for traumatic brain injury and ischemic stroke.
2010s
- Twila Mason, PhD’13, published her second contemporary romance novel, Step by Step, on Feb. 2, 2026.
- Holli Loomans-Kropp, PhD’17, and Peter Kropp, PhD’18, had a baby, Adelaide Kropp, in February 2026.
- Elijah Trefts, PhD’19, was promoted to principal scientist at Neurocrine Biosciences.

- Megan Rasmussen, PhD’21, was promoted from senior scientist to bioanalytical principal investigator at Celerion.
- Tierney Baum, PhD’24, made her podcast debut on BioCentury’s BioCentury This Week podcast discussing Stargardt disease for a rare disease spotlight.
