Congrats, Dr. Holt!

Who: Clinton Holt, PhD

Department: Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology

PI Mentor: Ivelin Georgiev

Research: Computation-driven development of viral vaccines and therapies

Vanderbilt Impact:

“”ACCRE’s computing cluster enabled complex ML analyses for our antibody/vaccine work, while the Animal Care facility and Flow Core provided essential resources for in vivo studies and immune cell characterization that would’ve been impossible to do independently.
The ASPIRE Program’s management and business courses (specifically “Maximizing Your Potential: Leading and Managing People, Projects, and Your Career” and “Management and Business Principles for Scientists”) filled crucial gaps in my scientific training, providing practical leadership and industry-relevant skills that complement my technical research experience.

Post-PhD Plans: Dr. Holt has accepted a short-term postdoc at Vanderbilt. Following this, he intends to do early-stage computational drug development in the biotech sector.
