How Vanderbilt made an impact: The BRET office made a huge impact on my training at Vanderbilt. Through the PhD Career Connections seminar, ASPIRE modules, and the annual career symposium, I gained exposure to career tracks. Once I identified job opportunities I wanted, I used the CV/Resume Drop in clinic extensively, which I think was instrumental in landing job interviews and ultimately job offers.
Next plans: I’m headed off to work as a Human Molecular Geneticist in a whole-genome/whole-exome sequencing diagnostic lab!
