Imaging mass spectrometry (IMS) is a tool that facilitates visualization of the molecular makeup of tissues while preserving their spatial integrity. This technique spans the fields of proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics. IMS data can further be supplemented with autofluorescence and multiplexed immunofluorescence. Guided by a systems biology mindset, I aim to develop computational workflows that will allow characterization of multimodal datasets to improve our understanding of complex biological processes.
