I am rewriting the PRIMUS identity-by-descent mapping and analysis software to improve its statistical and computational power. PRIMUS, in conjunction with similar software ERSA and PADRE, will become COMPADRE, a holistic, scalable pedigree reconstruction and relationship estimation suite. In addition to an automated analysis framework and backwards compatibility with its constituent programs, COMPADRE will support inputs from complex, large genetic repositories (Mendelian genomics programs/DNA biobanks like BioVU), and seamless communication between the two will be enabled through development of an interoperable shared-segments repository.
