My project will investigate the role of the calcium-dependent CDHR2 and CDHR5 adhesion proteins in the formation of the intestinal brush border. Investigating how actin-supported microvilli merge to form clusters through fixed and live cell imaging techniques will help elucidate early steps of brush border formation.
