Francis' research interests center around understanding how vascular risk factors such as arterial stiffening relate to brain health and cognition in older adults. She is particularly interested in studying the interaction between these risk factors and genetic susceptibility markers of Alzheimer's disease. Francis' work utilizes both neuroimaging tools and neuropsychological testing to study changes across the cognitive aging spectrum.
