Investigating the role of binary toxin during C. difficile infection. Some of the more severe strains of C. difficile are able to produce several toxins: Toxin A, Toxin B, and occasionally a third, Binary toxin. Binary toxin has been linked to more severe disease outcomes. I aim to identify the role this toxin has during an active C. difficile infection.
