Cellular identities of mature cells in many tissues are established via epigenetically-regulated transcription factor networks. My research focuses on working towards the generation of a gene regulatory network that is responsible for, and specific to, that of the developing pancreatic endocrine cells. Understanding the architecture of, and relationships within, these networks will allow us to gain insights into both the development and disease of the endocrine pancreas.
