I study human evolution by predicting gene expression in ancient humans, Neanderthals, and Denisovans based on their genotypes. The genes predicted to be differentially expressed, and the tissues they are expressed in, have potentially been important in recent human adaptation. I also study the genetics of gene regulation, and how enhancer sequences impact enhancer activity.
