In the Cover Lab, we work on the microbial pathobiont, Helicobacter pylori which colonizes the stomach and causes gastritis, ulcers, and gastric cancer. My research works with two secreted virulence factors, vacuolating cytotoxin A and CagA, and how they contribute to overall pathogenesis.
