Our lab’s goal is to determine how biological membranes are assembled and organized. One of the main focuses in the lab are the P4-ATPases, or flippases, which work to produce asymmetric membranes by flipping phospholipids from the extracellular/luminal leaflet to the cytosolic leaflet. My project is focused on identifying trafficking pathways required for proper localization and function of the flippases implicated in neurological diseases.
