My research focuses on the intersection between the immune system and metabolism. Currently, I am studying how secondary immune responses contribute to obesity and weight maintenance. We predict that both the innate and secondary immune defenses are critically important for maintaining homeostasis in the adipose tissue and that dysregulation of these systems contributes to poor metabolic health.
