My research project investigates the protein cofactors that allow for facilitated recruitment of Myc to chromatin. Myc is a transcription factor commonly implicated in oncogenesis; unfortunately, Myc is viewed as an undruggable protein. Thus, targeting the cofactors that are required for Myc activity represents an exciting and novel therapeutic window for Myc-driven cancers.
