My research project investigates how key Topoisomerase II poisons affect fork merger stalling during DNA replication. This is important because many chemotherapeutics are reported to target topoisomerases, but the mechanism of action is not quite clear. Understanding the mechanism of these drugs in combination with DNA will help us better understand how they serve to kill cancer cells.
