ATR checkpoint signaling is activated in response to DNA replication stress and is essential for the maintenance of genomic stability. ATR signaling is stimulated by the ATR activating proteins, TOPBP1 and ETAA1, but the mechanism by which these proteins activate ATR is unclear. The goal of my current project is to further elucidate how this process works.
