Bio: Born and Raised in Lee County, Florida. Studied Physics, Biology, and Japanese at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. Blackbelt in Karate. Can make a perfect key lime pie. Married, with two cats.
Research Interests: Joined the lab of Jamey Young to study photosynthetic bacterial metabolism. The current focus is to use metabolomics and fluxomics to analyze and optimize cyanobacteria genomes for the production of biofuel precursor molecules. My aspiration is to continue this work but also push the boundary to the point of harvesting energy directly from photosynthesis through upregulated extracellular electron transfer.
