whether to add a new meningitis vaccine just recently approved by the FDA to the immunization guidelines. William Schaffner, M.D., professor of preventive medicine and health policy and medical director for the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases says that even with the best antibiotics, there are diseases that still have high fatality rates.
