MPH student calls for a better understanding of catatonia and improved screening tools

In her recent publication, current MPH student, Jo Ellen Wilson, M.D., argues that the restrictive definition of catatonia in the most recent Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) could be resulting in a lower detection of catatonia, especially in patients with no known psychiatric history.
