Tina Hartert, M.D., M.P.H.
Assistant Vice Chancellor for Translational Science, Vanderbilt University
Dr. Tina Hartert has been named assistant vice chancellor for Translational Science at Vanderbilt University. In this role, she will develop the infrastructure and provide the leadership to accelerate the translation of discovery into patient care, to enhance the adoption of effective therapies and to reduce the utilization of unproven therapies. She will also work to provide decision-support that will allow the tailoring of therapy to the individual patient and to identify potential new therapies through effectiveness studies. Hartert received her B.A. from Brown University, and her M.D. and M.P.H. from Vanderbilt University in 1990 and 1998, respectively.
