Graduate Program: Cell & Developmental Biology
Dissertation: ER-phagy Drives Conserved, Age-Related Remodeling of the Endoplasmic Reticulum and Promotes Longevity
Hometown: Brentwood, TN
Undergraduate Institution: University of Notre Dame
Research Interests: I am interested in developmental and regenerative biology, focusing my career towards working with patients with genetic and other congenital diseases. For my dissertation, I investigated the role of inter-organelle interactions in healthy aging and their role in mediating age-dependent pathophysiology. Specifically, my work focused on understanding how ER-selective autophagy (ER-phagy) regulates ER dynamics and longevity.
MSTP Leadership: Wellness Committee (current), MSTP Admissions Subcommittee (previous), Student Advisory Counsel (previous)
Hobbies and Interests: rock climbing, snow and water skiing, vegan baking, gardening and bonsai, & cat parenting and animal rescue
