Alexander Sin, MD, MS

Sports Medicine

Office Hours:  Monday & Tuesday afternoons 

Alexander Sin, MD, MS received his master's degree in Physiology and Biophysics and medical training at Georgetown University School of Medicine.  He completed a general surgery internship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD, followed by a pediatrics residency at Loma Linda University Hospital in Loma Linda, CA.  He has completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Vanderbilt and is currently pursuing additional training through the Advanced Sports Medicine Fellowship at Vanderbilt.

Dr. Sin practices primary care sports medicine, focusing on promotion of health and fitness in all age groups, and prescribes exercises and therapy for injury prevention.  He also evaluates and manages musculoskeletal injuries in active individuals.   He is the team physician for Vanderbilt Dance and Cheer team and the football team of a local high school.  His research relates to improving access to sports and its related health care needs for all, and injury prevention and rehabilitation.  

Dr. Sin lives in Nashville with his partner and enjoys weight training, swimming, and rugby.  He joined the SHC in 2023.
