The ASPIRE Path in Molecular Medicine

My proposed thesis research involves understanding how carcinogens affect pathways involved in thyroid cancer and use pre-clinical studies to develop pharmacological substances that can be used to help treat thyroid cancer. The goals of APMM to help guide students to develop new human research studies as part of their research plans are integrates into this proposed thesis project by shadowing doctors who work with thyroid cancer patients will help me to understand more about this disease and how it presents in patients and will help to understand more about this process, especially considering my career goal of working in the pharmaceutical industry.
