The ASPIRE Path in Molecular Medicine

My research interests are cancer biology and cell signaling, specifically signaling during tumorigenesis. As a post-doctoral fellow in the Macara lab, my goal is to understand the mechanisms that regulate cell extrusion in the mammary epithelium. Ultimately, linking defects in these pathways to the formation of tumors, providing a better understanding of the connections between the mechanisms involved in maintaining epithelial homeostasis and tumorigenesis.
