Keys
Keys are obtained from our Biochemistry Keymaster, Lisa Evans.
All Biochemistry Faculty are allotted two conference room keys — one personal key and one communal key which should be placed in a central location accessible to all lab members.
General Building Access
Light Hall: Keycard/Afterhour Access
For access to the 6th floor Light Hall shared lab space, please use the “badge/door access request” link on the Vanderbilt Health Facilities Management website by clicking the button below.
Provide an email address of the responsible Principal Investigator on the Vanderbilt Health access form. The mentoring PI must respond to an authentication email to authorize access. Response time is 24-72 hours, depending on weekday/weekend timeframe.
Emergency access is now allowed only by VUPD officers who will provide escort into and out of restricted spaces. Call VUPD at 615-322-2745 or through the VandySafe phone app. There is no longer an emergency phone number or email enabling access into restricted areas.
Keycard access must be re-authorized if a keycard is lost/replaced.
ESB: Keycard/Afterhour Access
For keycard access and after-hours access to the 7th floor ESB, please have your PI contact BCHM department chair and building manager John Thorpe at for access approval.
