My research is in the field of Helicobacter pylori-mediated gastric inflammation and carcinogenesis. My research focuses on defining specific mechanisms by which the carcinogenic bacterium H. pylori promotes the development of gastric cancer with the ultimate goal of identifying risk factors and biomarkers that predispose patients to gastric cancer.
