Attendance

Students are required to attend all class sessions. The course instructor may choose to make an exception for a student with extenuating circumstances. The student should contact the instructor to request an exception before the anticipated absence.  

• 4 credit hour courses: 1-2 absences may be permitted with prior instructor notification and approval. 
• 3 credit hour courses: 1-2 absences may be permitted with prior instructor notification and approval. 
• 2 credit hour courses: 1 absence may be permitted with prior instructor notification and approval. 
• 1 credit hour courses: For courses that meet 4-6 times during a semester, attendance is required in every class (unless specific arrangements have been made in advance of enrolling in the course). The course instructor may determine if additional absences will be allowed.
