Recreation and Wellness Center

The Vanderbilt University Student Recreation and Wellness Center is a state-of-the-art facility. It is located on 25th Avenue South, between Children’s Way and Jess Neely Drive. All classes and clinics are taught by qualified instructors and are open to students, faculty, and staff. Classes include yoga, lifeguard training, rock climbing, weight training, racquetball, and kayaking. 

How to join

Student Recreation Center membership is not included in MPH Program tuition and fees. Students and dependents may purchase full or half memberships on a semester basis. Click here for student membership rates.

canoe.jpgThe Outdoor Rec is located just behind the new Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center (see map for detailed directions and for parking information). It offers adventures in backpacking, spelunking, canoeing, and rafting trips. You can participate in an Outdoor Rec trip, or rent gear from Outdoor Rec to plan your own trip. The resource library includes maps and guidebooks for local parks so you can plan a trip on your own. There is no membership fee.
