The Southern Group on Educational Affairs (SGEA) invites you to attend the 2023 Annual Conference. This conference brings together innovative medical educators to discuss opportunities, challenges, and advancements. You will hear from three plenary speakers who will address different aspects of the theme, “Building the Future of Medical Education Together.” You will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops and hear oral abstract presentations about innovations and research in medical education.

Topics will include faculty development; curriculum development; assessment; clinical skills; diversity, equity, and inclusion; student support; and many more.

Who can attend?

To register for and attend an AAMC meeting like SGEA 2023, you must be affiliated with an AAMC member institution, a non-profit medical education or professional organization, or a college or university. Please note that commercial representatives are not permitted to register for the meeting unless they are approved exhibitors or sponsors.

AAMC Health and Safety Protocol for Off-Site In-Person Meetings

The AAMC is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all AAMC meeting participants. Beginning Sept. 1, 2022, to minimize risks associated with COVID-19, attendees at AAMC off-site, in-person learning offerings are strongly encouraged to wear masks and be fully vaccinated as well as take other measures deemed necessary, as informed by guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and federal, state, and local health authorities.
