The Venters lab studies gene regulatory mechanisms that govern hormone-induced red blood cell differentiation. My project focuses on regulatory regions of the genome called enhancers and how they interact with their target promoters to dictate gene expression programs in erythroid cells. My project aims to study these interactions using both experimental and computational approaches.
