I work on signaling lipids that are responsible for reducing appetite and increasing energy expenditure. I use genetically modified bacteria as a possible therapy to increase the availability of these signaling lipids and inhibit the formation of obesity in rodent models. I also study the regulator mechanisms of the synthesis proteins responsible for making these lipids.
