My research will focus on understanding how different features of protein nanoparticle vaccines affect the elicited immune response. Since there are currently very few protein nanoparticles already used in vaccines, I am currently searching for existing viral capsids which I can engineer to have desired properties. The main focus will be to create broader immune responses than are typical for a protein nanoparticle vaccine.
