I am modeling treatment resistance and phenotypic plasticity in small cell lung cancer using single cell RNA-seq data to build and perturb a Boolean gene regulatory network. I hope to gain mechanistic insight into how tumors are able to develop resistance to chemotherapy, but I am also interested in the more fundamental question of how cell identity is able to change and even dedifferentiate in response to environmental factors.
