Many cerebrovascular diseases are characterized by impaired vascular reactivity and flow. By processing ASL and BOLD MRI data, it is possible to generate maps showing cerebrovascular reactivity as well as cerebral blood flow. My work is to use these blood flow maps as training data to develop machine learning algorithms capable of identifying disease severity in patients, as well as projecting disease progression and stroke risk.
