- Giving Day is an annual, 24-hour fundraising campaign providing an opportunity for Commodores across the globe to come together to show their Commodore pride and support Vanderbilt students and faculty. BASIC SCIENCES CHALLENGES
Basic Sciences Participation Challenge – When 175 donors give to any area of Basic Sciences on Giving Day, a $25,000 gift will be unlocked from the Basic Sciences Board of Visitors!
Basic Sciences Dean’s Power Hour Challenge – From 12 – 1 pm CST on April 27, Dean Kuriyan will match dollar-for-dollar all gifts made to the School of Medicine Basic Sciences up to $5,000.
Basic Sciences Vice Dean’s Power Hour Challenge – From 1-2 pm CST on April 27, Chuck and Becky Sanders will match gifts made to any area of Basic Sciences dollar-for-dollar up to $2,000.
BASIC SCIENCES GIVING DAY TABLE
From 12 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Susie’s on the 3rd floor of MRB III, join the Basic Sciences community for free sweet treats, giveaways, and VU branded socks for gifts with any donation of $23 or more. Dean Kuriyan will host a power hour of giving from noon to 1 p.m. central time, matching gifts dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000 to any area of Basic Sciences. Chuck and Becky Sanders will host a power hour from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., matching gifts dollar-for-dollar up to $2,000 to any area of Basic Sciences. When 175 donors make a gift to the Basic Sciences on April 27, a $25,000 gift will be unlocked from the Basic Sciences Board of Visitors!
