Director Acute Speech-Language Pathology

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor: The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in Nashville, TN is seeking to hire a Director of Acute Speech-Language Pathology in a 12-month non-tenure-track faculty position. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in speech-language pathology, ASHA certification, and eligibility for state licensure.

The preferred candidate would be a clinician-scientist with clinical experience in adult hospital settings. In addition, classroom and clinical teaching of swallowing disorders are desirable.

Numerous opportunities for clinical and research collaborations are available within the VUMC, including the Department of Otolaryngology, the Division of Gastroenterology, the Department of Neurology, the Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care, Department of Cardiac Surgery, and the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences is housed on the main medical center campus. Our busy clinical enterprise sees approximately 85,000 patient visits annually.
