Practicum Placements – MDE

Students in the MDE program have required practicum experiences every semester.  Practicum placements provide comprehensive exposure to a variety of opportunities within the field of deaf education.  Students have access to a range of ages/grades, communication modalities, school types (public and private), locations (e.g., urban, suburban), and service delivery options (e.g., itinerant, self-contained).  In addition to the Vanderbilt Mama Lere Hearing School, we partner with teachers of the deaf in the nearby school systems.
