Professional Licensure Disclosure
The Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Master of Genetic Counseling Program has been granted accreditation as a New Program by the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC) effective January 31, 2019, and therefore meets the academic requirements for national certification as a Certified Genetic Counselor. In compliance with the U.S. Department of Education requirements for participation in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA), Vanderbilt University provides a list of U.S. states and territories where its Master of Genetic Counseling meets academic requirements for state licensure, as follows (information current as of August 14, 2020):
